Harry Miller, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, The China Division. 1934 May 27, Shanghai, China, writing to Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Coulston. TLS, 2 pp. -- Informing them of the death of Elmer, just twenty-four hours after having sent them a cable saying he was seriously ill. The funeral is to be on Wednesday. Speaks of the hardships Elmer and Leatha had experienced – loss of their child, poor health, attempts on Elmer’s life by soldiers, illness. Doesn’t know who they will find to replace Elmer. Speaks of others who have laid down their lives in the China mission field. Doesn’t know Leatha’s plans.
